The Small Resource: Unveiling the Writer, Navigating the Website, and Mapping the Road Ahead

The Writer

My name is Ryan Rasco, and I am a recent MBA graduate with experience in multiple facets of business. I feel that I've worked in every department of business at this point. I've been an HR assistant, worked in accounts payable for a Fortune 500 company, handled logistics and management, and navigated through all the complexities of marketing and web design. Additionally, I've had roles inside projects that were more complex and strategic, including product development and management, developing pricing models, establishing vendor relationships, and strategic planning.

The Website

The idea for The Small Resource came about a while back during college. As you may know, a lot of research is involved in creating a business. One day, it occurred to me: why not put all the resources on one website to save time? That’s the brief version of how it came to life.  It also allows me to try new ideas that I may not be able to do with an established company.

  • The website design: Initially, the website was going to be like many others with a uniform design throughout the site. As I started to develop the website, I had an epiphany: why not give each page its own design, its own identity? This is where I am walking a fine line in a few areas due to the website being a business site

    • Firstly, the creative and artsy aspect of the site is limited to maintaining a perception of professionalism and resourcefulness.

    • Next, a uniform item had to be used to tie the website together. I mostly utilized abstract imagery to maintain a consistent appearance.

    • Finally, the most complex aspect in terms of design is giving the pages their own unique look while ensuring they are cohesive. There's a delicate balance because pushing too far can make it resemble another website, which is not my intention. However, I will gradually push boundaries to see how far I can maintain cohesiveness.

The RoadMap

RoadMap

  1. Firstly, new content will be constantly added in the future, including resources and blogs sharing personal experiences.

  2. Marketing will expand into video format on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, so stay tuned for these updates.

  3. Lastly, the website will continue to evolve in design and resources, aiming to reach as many people as possible.
